There is a lack of research on decolonizing healthcare practices and whether healthcare and allied-service providers are knowledgeable about how to enact preferred practices. The study is situated within an internationally recognized social pediatrics program that reforms health service delivery in the pursuit of health equity. By seeking the perspectives of children and families (recipients of care) and the perspectives of care providers, we anticipate explicating processes and practices that contribute to the provision of respectful, accessible, and responsive care. This research may highlight key elements needed to strengthen or sustain such practices in other settings and contexts.
