Building Supportive Social Networks to Advance the Mental Health of Women Affected by Violence in Vancouver's Downtown

A team of researchers, community service leaders and women from the DTES community received funding from the Vancouver Foundation for a three-year community-based participatory project to pilot test a peer-led social engagement project for self-identifying women. This work is strengths-based, and community-led, building on women's expertise and experience to build relationships and advance women's health and quality of life.
