Towards a comprehensive performance measurement system for opioid use disorder in British Columbia, Canada

This project involves developing 'health system performance measures' using data on the healthcare interactions of people with opioid use disorder in BC. We defined a 'cascade of care' outlining treatment engagement and retention rates for opioid agonist treatment in BC. We also defined other performance measures that policy makers can use to see how well the healthcare system is serving people with opioid use disorder. In addition, we are completing supplementary analyses on an ongoing basis to identify priorities for public health intervention around healthcare for opioid use disorder in BC. The project is expected to finish in May 2023.
