Join our new list-serve to stay connected

It’s been a year since we launched the Downtown Eastside Research Access Portal. To everyone who offered their feedback and encouragement, thank you. We’ve been hard at work implementing those changes. We are regularly adding new items, such as the latest UBC research, and new genres, such as community created podcasts, to the portal.  We’ve also launched several exciting new features, such as the News and Help pages.

Today, we’re pleased to announce our new list-serve. It will feature 3-4 updates per year about this project and the broader initiative to make research more accessible. Our plan is to send emails that:

There’s a lot going on these days around making research more accessible. So, we are also planning to share relevant information about open access research beyond the work of the DTES Research Access Portal.

We anticipate 400 community members, researchers, and students will initially be a part of this list-serve. The hope is that the list-serve will eventually evolve into a way to connect different groups who share an interest in making research accessible in the DTES.

Ultimately, by providing more ways to share findings and connect, we hope to broaden the positive impact of evidence-based information. These regular updates are one way we hope to foster these connections.
